So, Why A New Website For The Closet Works?
That is a question that a lot of people have asked me recently. Customers who tell me they love our current website; employees (who use it all the time when working with our customers) and think it's a great tool with lots of really useful information; business colleagues who often point to it as an example of a website chock full of important things to know.
Well, that is flattering and nice to hear, but the fact of the matter is that I personally believe very strongly in a Japanese concept called Kaizen. For the uninitiated amongst you, it's a very basic concept. Simply put, the words means continuous improvement.
To delve a bit more deeply, Kaizen is really about the continual improvement of all functions, involving all employees from the CEO to the factory staff, and addressing all processes across organization lines, extending into the supply chain. It has been applied successfully in a wide range of industries, across the globe in large companies and small, and to me it is almost sacred, a mantra if you will.
By continually striving to improve all aspects of performance across any organization I believe it is possible to significantly improve quality costs, the customer experience, working conditions, and virtually any aspect of the company's culture and "soul". I am often heard telling colleagues that it is unlikely we can improve anything 100%, but if we can improve 50 things 2 perfect we achieve the same net quantitative benefit. I believe that and so do most of the folks who have made their careers here for almost a quarter of a century in many cases. And believe me, it shows.
If you take a few moments to look at the brand video on our new website you will see how important the customer experience is to everyone who works here. We promise our clients remarkable experience and we do everything in our power to deliver on that promise. The job isn't complete until the customer is happy. That's more than a sales phrase, it's a consuming philosophy that is as important to every single employee at our company as it is to me. If you take a moment to look at the Guild Quality surveys on our new site you will see what I mean.
That's why a new website...and a new plant...and new products...and new offerings of materials and designs on an ongoing basis...so that we can be the preferred supplier to our customers not for any single reason, but for all reasons. And so it goes. Twenty-five years of growth and improvement and literally tens of thousands of customers who have had a remarkable experience. Because we try our best to make everything better, every day and the results speak for themselves.
We hope you enjoy the new site!
