The Closet Works Supports Charitable Causes

At The Closet Works, we believe in the power of community. We understand that our success as a company is not only measured by our business achievements but also by our ability to give back to the local community that has supported us throughout our journey.

The Closet Works Supports Charitable Causes
We take pride in our ongoing partnerships with local organizations. By focusing our efforts on supporting local food banks, clothing initiatives, and animal rescue operations, we continue to make a positive impact in our community, fostering an environment of generosity and mutual support.
Food Bank Donations
A part of our mission is to address the pressing issue of hunger in our community. With this objective, we’ve been dedicating a portion of our retail sales to local food banks, strengthening their efforts and resources. Our network of support extends to several commendable organizations:
Manna on Main Street, Lansdale, PA: A committed organization aiming to eradicate hunger in the North Penn region. They offer a broad range of services, including food provisions, social services, educational needs, emergency financial aid, and counseling. During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, our contributions have supported Manna’s mission in addressing the community’s needs.
Keystone Opportunity Center, Souderton, PA: An institution providing comprehensive social services to aid community members in their journey towards self-sufficiency. Keystone’s initiatives encompass housing the homeless, feeding the hungry, and educating adults. Their food pantry, serving nearly 1,000 neighbors across the Souderton Area School District, has been a crucial resource for those facing food insecurity.
Hatfield Church of the Brethren Food Cupboard, Hatfield Township, PA: A food cupboard with over thirty years of service, reaching out to about 100 families in the Hatfield community. Supported by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, the Share Food Program, the Montco Anti-Hunger Network (MAHN), and Philabundance, their efforts have been instrumental in combating hunger in the community.
Camp Out for Hunger: This was our most recent food collection and our first year. The food drive is the single largest in the country and benefits Philabundance. Philabundance is a proud member of Feeding America, a nationwide network of food banks leading the fight against hunger in the United States.
At Closet Works, we are proud to stand with these organizations, to support and nourish our community.
Clothing Donations
We are proud to support the community with clothing donations as well. We partner with organizations such as Our Closet in Your Neighborhood and The Wardrobe. We understand that clothing is not just a necessity but also a means of expressing dignity and confidence, especially for those facing life’s challenges. Our process is simple: during home organization projects, we collect gently-used or new wardrobe items from our customers and distribute them to our partner organizations.
Our Closet in Your Neighborhood: Providing free clothing to vulnerable community members across Philadelphia, Our Closet alleviates the stress of procuring clothing, allowing individuals to concentrate on resolving other pressing issues like securing housing or a sustainable income.
The Wardrobe: Going beyond the provision of clothing, The Wardrobe prepares individuals for the job market by offering additional resources and guidance.
We make the donation process hassle-free for our customers. On the day of installation, we are equipped to collect a bag of clean, stain-free, and tear-free clothing items. Our acceptance ranges across all types and sizes of clothing, reinforcing our commitment to inclusivity and community support.
Animal Rescue Operations
The Closet Works understands that our community extends beyond humans; our four-legged friends require our support too.
In an endeavor to contribute to animal welfare, we recently partnered with Harley’s Haven Dog Rescue. Over a period of two weeks, we conducted a collection drive to support Harley’s Haven, which recently welcomed three litters of puppies and several dogs needing specialized care and surgeries. Our collection included food, blankets, toys, collars, and we further supplemented these with a monetary donation. We encourage you to learn more about Harley’s Haven’s commendable work and how you can contribute at Harley’s Haven Dog Rescue.
Toys for Tots
The Closet Works is proud to partner with Toys for Tots around the holiday time. The basic mission of the Toys for Tots Program is to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas.
Habitat for Humanity
We are proud to partner with Habitat for Humanity. We do semi-annual donations of raw building materials and hardware that we no longer have use for in order to support ReStore’s objective to provide funds for Habitat for Humanity’s mission to helps families build and improve places to call home.
